Roberto Nappi

Roberto received a Master's degree in classical Piano at the Conservatory of Salerno in Italy and studied at one of the oldest private music school in Naples ( Liceo Musicale Cesi Marciano).

He has taught Drum Kit, Piano and Music Theory since 2010 to students of varying ages and abilities.

Working as a Pianist from 1998 and 2008 he then decided to focus his career as a drummer. Roberto played for many agencies in Italy, travelled around the world for MSC cruises before moving to Bristol in 2013.

Roberto is active in the local music scene playing in various musical projects, mainly as a jazz drummer, and alongside musicians such as Jim Blomfield amongst others.

Roberto aims to give to all of his students solid fundamentals and all the necessary skills to develop creativity and music knowledge.

David Craggs

David has over a decade of teaching experience, and is an honour's music graduate of the University of Leeds.

With a background in education and community engagement, he ensures that his lessons are always thoroughly tailored and pupil-centered.

David has broad and eclectic musical tastes including: Robert Johnson, Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Joe Pass, Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Fela Kuti, Tony Rice, Beethoven and Bach (to name a few!)

A self-professed guitar obsessive - When he's not playing guitars he enjoys modifying them and building partscasters, as well as spending time with his family, cycling and exercising his Rhodesian Ridgeback.

Martin Helps

Martin teaches Guitar (electric and acoustic) and Ukulele using the Registry of Guitar Tutors (RGT) and Rockschool curricula.

He is an accomplished guitar teacher and guitarist, a Graduate of the Bristol Institute of Modern Music (BIMM) with a Professional Diploma in Modern Music (Distinction)

Martin has performed for over 50 years and has extensive experience of playing both in live and studio environments. He currently performs with the Mid West Big Band, a nineteen piece function band.

His musical tastes and influences are varied, but include:-

Jazz, Clive Carroll and Stuart Ryan and Rock, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck and Mark Knopfler.

Michael Grant

From a young age, Michael has been a keen musician. He has a degree in Music, and a MA in performance and composition.

Michael has been the assistant director of Jamma de Samba for over 17 years, where he's honed his skills leading Corporate Events, Carnivals & Festivals.

In May 2019, Michael performed with Afon Sistema (a maracatu band) in Bordeaux and helped to successfully win the Europa 2019 Encontro de Maracatu against other competing countries in Europe.

Michael enjoys making music accessible to all ages and discovering new inspiration (often from mistakes). Outside of music he's a keen gardener who enjoys growing his own vegetables and cycling the local canal paths.

James Fuke

James Fuke is a professional drummer from Devon who now resides in the city of Bristol. Tutoring since finishing his music degree in 2015, James has refined his unique teaching style, he enjoys taking time to tailor his lesson's specificaly to his students’ needs and helping their musical creativity.

Aside from playing drums, James enjoys composition, using his other skills as a guitarist and pianist to further inform his musicality. Since starting drums at secondary school, James has toured both the U.K. and Europe performing in various original projects.

His biggest drumming influences include Steve Gadd, Brian Blade, Keith Carlock, Mark Guiliana, Kendrick Scott and Nate Smith.

As well as music, James enjoys walking, watching films and attempting to cook.

Stefano Vandelli

Stefano is an experienced drummer/musician/composer and has been facilitating West Africa drumming workshops for several years, for both adults and children.

Stefano has received West African drumming training and education over the last two decades from some of the greatest current exponents of West African traditional and contemporary music, such as Seckou Keita, Mamady Keita, Iya Sako and Nansady Keita, to mention but a few.

Stefano is also an accomplished Kora and N’Goni player (a 22-stringed West African harp, and a 7-stringed precursor to the Banjo, respectively). He collaborates with several talented musicians and projects, and performed at many UK music festivals and venues, including: WOMAD, Shambala, Glastonbury and many more.

Finnian Fraser King

Finn Fraser-King is a professional drummer from Birmingham who now resides in Bristol, since finishing a degree in Professional musicianship at BIMM in 2022.

Since starting drums at secondary school, Finn has undertaken various original projects and function sessions. Performing, all over the U.K. whilst also having a huge involvement in the jazz and hip-hop Jam scene in Bristol.

His biggest drumming influences include, Tony Williams, Keith Carlock, Roy Haynes, Steve Gadd, Yuessef Dayes, David Garibaldi, Buddy Rich, Max Roach, Jo Jo Mayer and Richard Spaven.

Finn has taken the time to develop his teaching style since finishing his degree. Not everyone learns in the same way and so making sure that each student has their learning style uniquely appreciated is of the utmost importance.

As well as music, Finn enjoys making really good food, going to gigs and practicing the drums.

Cam Johnson

Cam is a passionate drummer, percussionist, and pianist who loves teaching.

He studied at Bath Spa University for an undergraduate degree in Music, and then a MMus in Music Composition. Following his degree he worked with Bath Philharmonia delivering workshops for young people. Through this he developed specialisms supporting young carers and neurodivergent children in musical settings.

Cam has delivered workshops, composed/arranged pieces for orchestras, pit bands, short films, and video game demos, and in 2024 supported the creation of a song (co-created with Young Carers) that made it to the Top 40.

His musical interests include: 'video game music' ,Pop, Jazz, Japanese Electronica, Glitch-Hop, J-pop, Musicals, Rap, Prog Metal, and Country to name a few. He is always excited to hear about new songs/artists, what you're listening to, and recommendations... or to just talk about video games in general. (It's estimated Cam has over 10,000 hours in Minecraft since 2009...)

Shawn Crowder, Larnell Lewis, Baard Kolstad, Travis Barker, Aron Mellergård, Max Roach, Aaron Spears, Greyson Nekrutman, Nate Smith, Robert Brian, El Estepario Siberiano, and Adam Janzi are some of the drummers Cam has found most inspiring.
